Fantastic octahedral form, with strange,
complex terminations.
This is a very unique galena from Reynolds County, MO, probably the
Sweetwater mine, octahedral with cubic faces on the
terminations. There is partial covering of quartz on some
of the
crystals and there is micro chalcopyrite scattered about. The big
crystal of galena is 1 inch across! The whole specimen is about 2 3/4 X
2 inches (7 X 5 cm). Very cool!
